Cosmic
I have a friend that lived there and moved last year cause he had enough with the weather. The house he was renting was badly damaged with the last one and this next one coming in is likely going to really destroy it. It seems odd how this is happening right before possible the biggest election in over a century.

One went north just before it hit and the other two who were right in the path had some damage. One lost power but had his generator going.
britanica
It seems like it died down a lot when it hit land which is not common but very good. I feel like God was on their side for this one. It was a CAT 5 not long before it was closing in and it dropped to a 3 and dissipated fairly fast.

Thank God for life.
YellowDragon
I would never want to live in the path of a hurricane. I will keep my occasional snow storms and tornadoes. The worst we get up north is a bit of wind and hail most of the time and this doesn't happen every year.

A blanket of snow can be so peaceful.
Cosmic
Me too. Snow is nice, especially around Christmas time. It reminds me of all the good things about the season. Family togetherness, being thankful, being a kid playing in the snow, etc.

We need more snow.
