YellowDragon Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I guess this blew up in the last few days. Everyone is getting mad at Elon, Vivek, and Trump because of what is being said. Trump is talking about giving anyone that comes here on a visa to go to our universities green cards when they graduate which will increase the number of immigrants taking up spaces in our universities for a clearer path to citizenship for them and their family. Elon is very much in favor of H-1B visas cause they provide him with cheap labor and he got caught hiring Indian immigrants that HATE white people openly. Vivek coming from immigrant parents (as well as Elon being an immigrant) are both in favor of MORE immigration legally. People are mad because it is already hard enough for Americans here to find good paying jobs and we have over 30 million illegals. It is a giant mess. Quote

britanica Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Bezos benefits the most from those programs. He has more than any other company in the US. And people are focusing on fortune 500 companies, not the smaller ones. Plenty of small tech companies only high citizens and don't bring people over on visa programs. 1 Quote

Like there is going to be a massive shortage in the coming years in the medical world. Doctors, nurses, etc. which is bad. Also a lot of trade jobs. I don't think anyone would complain about him being here. I think the complaints deal with the people coming here who actually hate America. I would say it is a small minority of them and they usually end up in the tech industry. All of our visa programs are just government programs at the end of the day and we all know government programs are all used for the benefit of the rich/elite. I am not going to be mad at immigrants for wanting to come here, I am going to be mad at the government and the corporations for using and abusing them (paying them less) and then lying about it. 1 Quote

I guess that is fair. It isn't their fault our government and our corporations are greedy snakes. And you are probably right, most of them come here because they want to be here... Not because they hate us. Either way, it needs to be sorted. These programs need to be fixed. 2 Quote
