Don't bother wondering about Paul's thorn in the flesh. It won't help. The important thing to remember is God wouldn't do anything about it to remind Paul that he had to depend on God's graces for everything that he did. We all have a "thorn in the flesh" to remind us that we also depend on the grace of God and we must ask for it.

I always see people using this one and the beam in someone else's eye. Sometimes it is used to allow people to feel or think a certain way but I think the basis of both are about personal growth with God, not other people.
