tmcom Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Almost 4grand for this but it is impressive in some ways, (great for long haul frights but your arms would get sore). Quote
britanica Posted February 4 Posted February 4 I can't use anything of the sort because I am prone to migraines. Even if this was not the case, I have zero interest. We don't know what the long-term effects will be from using these devices. I won't keep my phone too close and refuse to wear smart watches as well. 1 Quote

Smart watches are ok if they are bluetooth only the ones that can take a call without a smartphone are dangerous. 1 Quote
tmcom Posted October 4 Author Posted October 4 Tried it yesterday and blown away, it has high res, 3D IMAX type screen and also had a computer simulation of a tropical coastline which was 100% immersive). The 3D part is flawless everyone needs to try it. Quote
chrysostom Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Interesting. I continue to resist technology but acknowledge that it can be used to reach all nations. It can also be a distraction that will just divert our attention from what is most important. 1 Quote

Agreed but it is heavy to wear so you really wouldn't wear it all day, and the tropical coastline, (computer simulated but hard to tell) with you sitting on the beach with palm trees swaying well it is disconcerting, (but in a cool way) to see your body and the Apple room vanish and get replaced by an entire landscape. And being at a children's birthday party with cake, candles which looks so frickin real you really do feel like you are there or could touch the cake. This will revolutionize what the disabled can experience or do. This is really only to make 3D memories, watch a movie on a plane and for immersive environments, it can be used to do a search online but only as a flat screen. 1 Quote
YellowDragon Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I am good on this kind of tech. I don't even use bluetooth headsets or speakers. I still enjoy my wires and use my phone on speaker to keep it away from my head. Maybe I am a bit too paranoid but better to be cautious than sorry. lol 1 Quote

And it is easy on our eyes, (which was a surprize) but it is heavy so you couldn't wear it for long. Its real strength is 3D immersive videos, (or make memories and in 20 years time you can go back to that memory and environment again) or something out of a sci fi movie but now real. 1 Quote

It is a slippery slope for me. A lot of people can't handle the level of tech we have now (addictions being one of the biggest issues) so I worry where this will lead and how far removed people will become not only from society but from God. 1 Quote

I would say in 30 years anyone who allocates a target room and wears one of these can all be in the same room at the same time regardless of where they are in the world. Churches included. 1 Quote
